Ep. 279 – Matt Richtel’s Floodgate
Sep 12th
TOPIC: That’s right, good friend of the show Matt Richtel is back – and so is Nat Idle (or at least a cameo). Matt and Mike get deep into search privacy, data dives and more … a lot more – you’ll have to listen to get the whole scoop! Of course, regular Jay Garmon is with us and, after discussing what we would do with a lock of Neil Armstrong’s hair, provides this tasty cerebral nugget:
What is the only non-technical Emmy that the Star Trek franchise has ever won?
Too much great conversation means no cool sites this week (though don’t forget to head over to http://mattrichtel.com for more on Floodgate, Cloud and Matt’s other books), but we do fit in a great, jazzy song by Jamie Lidell - ”Multiply”
Poll – WRLR Video Streaming

On a semi-irregular basis I’ll be putting up polls here and on the main TechTalk website. Or not.
Here’s the results from our previous poll:
Ep. 151 – Bing, Palm is done!
Jun 10th
TOPIC: Gosh, we have fun today! After working over Microsoft’s new search engine Bing, we talk about the Microsoft Office Live ice age that is coming and then break down the newest Palm release (the Pre), and talk about what Apple could possibly do at WWDC to keep our interest (other than announcing he’s back to take the helm, that is).
Of course we’ve got our coolsites of the week, such as:
- Gminder – Desktop reminder for Google Calendar, by reflective code, this will make SURE you never forget those important calendar items; even if your browser is down and email turned off!
- GReader Gadget – Pops your google reader RSS subscriptions right onto the google desktop bar! You can view by category, starred, shared – most of the options you have on the regular greader site.
As the podcast only song of the week (which winds up being a radio play too) is “What Else is There?” by Röyksopp.
