Episode 141 – Eric Ginsberg of BookSwim

TOPIC: March 7 – Paper or plastic? What a blast, this week we get a chance to really dig deep into BookSwim.com’s unique answer to how to get your lit on! We hear about the Kindle, e-books, liibraries, and where where the author’s guild got it wrong. Not only that, but we continue the TOKBOX webcam giveaway! You really MUST listen in this week and find out how to win a webcam! We’re off next week, but return to talk with the TokBox folk themselves, give away the last webcam, and then talk about our next round of giveaways. We recap last weeks awesome coolsites of the week (plus one more) and finish it off with our podcast only song “The Great Defector” by Bell X1.

Episode 140 – Just Mike, and we blew it again

February 28, 2009 … sorry to say, we blew it again.  And by “we” of course I mean “I” blew it again. That’s right, as you’ve probably already noticed, the audio for this podcast is missing, just like the one for a couple weeks ago.

During this episode, I talked about the Amazon Kindle fight with the authors guild, revealed the first winner of our TokBox $50 webcam giveaway (Customer Jones, naturally), and fed out 2 of the coolest of cool sites of the week that I’ve done in a long time.

But you’re going to miss all that, because a new – and unrevealed to this host – IT policy meant that all audio saved on WRLR servers is summarily deleted on a regular basis.  More regularly than I remembered to go grab it offline it seems.

So please stick with us, come back  next week, and we’ll have more great stuff.  Plus… sign up for the techtalk newsletter and I’ll  automatically put you in the running for next week’s TokBox webcam giveaway!

And I promise you, now that we know the reason for our audio dissapearing into that great bitbucket in the sky, we WON’T let it happen again!
